hmmm. pretty good id say amazing. but you need to make his body a bit fater and tale bit thiner. and also the head a bit more reptile. i draw dragons for5 years now .
id agree the wings look a little rushed and the head it too short on the snout im not trying to be rude but the head is just what many people do like but i'd fix it
Wow Snowyclaw! I had no idea you were such a great artist! I'm not much of a digital artist, but I love to draw by hand! ^^ All I would say is make the middle body just a little bit more muscular. It's AMAZINGLY good! I hope you share more of your wonderful art with us! I'm looking forward to it! :D ~snowdog900
wow. That's all I can say. Wow. wow. wow. wow. Gobsmacked. Bamboozled. Wow. Amazing. Fantastic. Marvelous. Miraculous. And all the rest of those words! :P
Omigod snowy has beautiful talent. :,) Dragons could use some muscles and bring out the power, like a fire breathing dragon would have fire around him, add vines around the forest dragon. Can't login as enchanted hatgirl today D:
Wow. I'm speachless! Although I did notice epic details, I think you need to make the tail a bit thinner and longer, while the body needs to be wider. Do that, and you'll be artist of the year!!
try to apply more shine to the scales, a dragon's scales have a almost gemlike quality, otherwise, good job. Also, a dragon's body is not quite so long.
The colors vary a little on one spot, like if you look at the green parts in the wings, it goes from light green to a darker one. The back leg seems too long for the front. The thigh of the back leg also seems to thick.
And yes, as the others have said, make a body a bit thicker.
"Don't be so negative????? Rufistars critique is totally fair and idont find snowys are all that amazing. -.- although she does have talent. There should be more Colorado variation and gradients around the tail and more muscles should be added to give the creature some dimension. The face seems anbit smooshed and should have a bit more shadowing try keeping the eyes a little closer to the mouth as it seems a bit stretched around the edges. Also the front perspective on the face doesnnot appear to be drawn accurately. Owlhead13
Btw I can draw like that. Better in my opinion but not trying to be mean to snowy. I might become a spirit artist but right now all of my art is in lead because my tablet is broken. Owlhead10 (sorry I said owlhead13 before)
How about a yellow-orange background with scarlet, blood red, or brick red fire coming out of its mouth. Other than that, IT. IS. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a good tip is that you have to draw softly and swiftly, you have to calculate the shae (it might take some mins) and when you finished it,just earase the parts you dont like and draw them better
Very nice Snowy but like some other people said you need to make the body the bit thicker and the legs look a little more attached to the body, but otherwise, pitch perfect! :) -Ducier
Wow, Snowy! If this is your FIRST DRAWING on an art pad... I can't wait to see what you draw when you're more experienced with it! My first drawing on an art pad... Anywho... It's really hard to draw on because you cant look at your hand.
I would say make the wings a smoother shape and less cross hatching, because it makes it look like fabric. Also, spend more time giving the eyes details, like glints or reflections. The body is to thin and the head needs more detail and a little bit bigger.

wow i know others are saying it could be better but i can draw efficient manga but not dragons my best dragons are tiny cute chibi ones :) yours is great
I wish i could draw like that. Its amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Snowy! Your dragon is amazing! I was wondering, what tablet and program do you use? Personally, I use a program called Paint Tool Sai, and I'm thinking of getting a tablet, but not sure which one I should get. Right now, I'm using a mouse :P
its awesome though if it's a forest dragon try adding some trees mabey attached to the dragon and add a bit of brown and some shrubs or ferns on its back to make it be able to dig a dug-out and hide in it!
I think the wings are a little too disheveled, and I would have liked to see more prominent claws on the wings and maybe a couple tears from dragon fights.. Other than that, Great Job :D
Amazing!

I prefer hand drawing it. I take two different art classes at my school now. One is organized, one is more loose. Draw or paint whatever, loose.
DeleteMy overall critique for you is good! :D but you may want to put a little more muscle in its wings. A longer tail too.
You are an emerging artist, Snowyclaw!

ReplyDeleteCan you plz post my daughters picture? After all it would make her happy since the fact that she is still in the hospital.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't parents use more proper grammar? Most parents wouldn't say "plz". They'd say: "please". Just saying...
